For the trip to the Himalayas, we were chasing the Snow Leopard, but although we came close to one on several occasions, and had a great view of one through our 60x spotting scopes, we couldn't get close enough to photograph one.  Still, the trip, camping in Stok Valley in January with day-time temperatures around -5°C and night-time temperatures dropping to around -20°C was stunning and I can't wait to go back. Huge thanks to the rest of the group who went, especially to Ben Cranke from ODP Safaris, who led the trip, as well as the incredible local team who looked after us brilliantly, including running up and down the mountainsides with piping hot cups of chai when we were feeling thirsty.  I couldn't have asked for a better group to share the experience.
