Following my trip to the Himalayas earlier this year, I've now revamped the site and have uploaded several new galleries as well as resolving a few issues with the galleries of shots from China. As always, I make no claim to wondrous artistry, but simply share the best of the images I've managed to capture from some of the amazing places I've had the privilege to visit. If you log in for a look in the next couple of days, you might still encounter some minor issues as I finish the revamp. If you do, please feel free to let me know by e-mail and I'll check it out. Alternatively, you'll soon be able to leave a comment in the newly established visitors' page.
For the trip to the Himalayas, we were chasing the Snow Leopard, but although we came close to one on several occasions, and had a great view of one through our 60x spotting scopes, we couldn't get close enough to photograph one. Still, the trip, camping in Stok Valley in January with day-time temperatures around -5°C and night-time temperatures dropping to around -20°C was stunning and I can't wait to go back. Huge thanks to the rest of the group who went, especially to Ben Cranke from ODP Safaris, who led the trip, as well as the incredible local team who looked after us brilliantly, including running up and down the mountainsides with piping hot cups of chai when we were feeling thirsty. I couldn't have asked for a better group to share the experience.
